A woman is supposed to be all gentle sweet and nice.
She cooks and cleans and mends the clothes and everything that's right.
But I would rather clean the barn , mend fence and feed the cows.
I'd rather ride the fence till dark and sleep beneath the clouds,
To see the new calves being born , or watch the corn grow high,
I just can't sit inside and watch my life go drifting by.
I'd rather see the sun come up, my family by my side,
And smile when they say ,"Hey MOM ,Come on ,Let's take a ride."
