Hello fellow COHT members.

Like I have said in the past, It was so great seeing all of you again at the eastern gathering this year. Even the rain ,rain,rain...didn't totally dampen your spirits. Everyone was having a good time in spite of the soggy conditions.

Folks traveled in from all over the country .

Some as far away as Texas, And Oklahoma. !

While I milled around I listened to some of the members describing the College of the 18th century classes while others just enjoyed dodging rain drops and visiting with  others. Even Molly found a dry comfortable place to rest for a while with her new friend Bernie Phillips from Maryland...

Some hardy scouts  participated in the non shooting woodswalk and did quite well. They had to deal with finding food, making traps ,building a fire without using a fire kit , and all the while watching for hostiles. It sounded like a real adventure. Good job gang !!!!!  Thanks Deanna and Gerry for putting it together !

The COHT  meeting was held at 7:00 pm Friday night and numerous topics were discussed from  a new insurance policy to new officers and events. I'm sure all the particulars will be noted in the next quarterly. Be sure to check it out.

Saturday afternoon the silent auction was held . The money raised from the auction and raffle are to help fund the Pioneer Village. President Larry Burns informed us that even though there still is a dire shortage of operating cash , he looks for the village to be around for a long time.   There were many nice things donated for auction and I even got in on the bidding .Larry says it went well and the funds were sorely needed.

Neil and Kevin Kelly held an archery demonstration Saturday afternoon. These men are quite proficient archers. Kevin holds numerous titles while Neil has even brought down some big game including a caribou with his long bow.

Sunday finally brought sun and was celebrated by the union of Ohio member Scott Thornsberry and his bride Tracy . In attendance were their 5..yes count em' ..five wonderful children. Best wishes Scott and Tracy and all the kids. Here's hoping you all have a wonderful trek through life together.

Well another Eastern gathering has come and gone. As always Frank and I and Molly had a great time. Thanks again to all the folks that worked so hard in putting it together and all the COHT members who attended.

We hope to see you all again next year and hope you have more great story's and adventures to share with us.
Till then take care ,and as always.............
Keep On Trekking,
Granny Lin
