18th Century Market Fair and Rifle Frolic will be held at Ft. Frederick State Park, Big Poole, Maryland close to Hagerstown, MD.
The event for 2003 will be the 9th and will be held from April 24th thru the 27th. We are not accepting new Sutlers this year due to we have a waiting list now and we will honor the list before adding to it. Camper preregstrations must be post marked by April 1, 2003, and questions concerning the event can be answered by the park @ 301-842-2155

COHT PA Chapter, 3rd Annual Winter Camp will be held at the Mike Slease (Col. Armstrong) Cabin. It is near Williamsport in Lycoming County. February 21-23, 2003. Members and non-members are welcome. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $15.00 each person and covers the Grand Saturday night meal, wood, and water. Bring warm clothes and suitable sleeping gear/tent/lean-to. COHT WV Chapter, Winter Wv Gathering, Feb 15-16, 2003. Offers members of WV chapter and near by states the opportunity to exchange information, network, fellowship with like minded folks and trek. There is no set itinerary yet; it will depend on how many sign up and what they are interested in. I want to keep it low key and informal. At a minimum, we can use the weekend as a “get together” so that we can get to know other members, discuss COHT related issues, begin to plan treks for 2003, etc.. Let's keep this a “period” (1750-1790) event and stay in period clothing and use period shelters. Tents can be pitched outside the palisades. We will have use of one or more of the large cabins in the fort with working fireplaces. Admission is free for COHT members attending the event. Donations to the Pricketts Fort Memorial Foundation, either cash or in trekking-related items suitable for auction at the school of the Longhunter, would be appreciated. Raestown Company of Rangers and Spies Winter Camp, Our winter encampment and shoot will be on February 14-17, 2003. Early set up on the 13th is okay. The cost for campers is $20.00 (includes meal, firewood, membership in our Raestown Company of Rangers and Spies-- our O.B.V. Militia unit). Non-camping day shooters will be charged $5.00 plus a $5.00 value blanket prize. The money goes to help pay our insurance costs, firewood, the food for the feast, porta-pottie rental, etc.. West Virginia Primitive Rendezvous, June 16-21, 2003, Czar, WV. 16th annual rendezvous will be held at Beech Mountain Sportsman's Club just outside of Czar, WV. Gate opens at 7:30 June 15, 2003. It is a pre-1840 rendezvous. Pre-registration is asked but not required. Pre-register fee is single $12.00 and family $17.00, at the gate fee will be single $17.00 and family $20.00. Pre-registration cut off date is June 4, 2003. You will need a $15.00 value blanket prize for the woodswalk, camp fee covers all other events. Woodswalk runs all week, last shoot at 10:00am on Saturday. There will be kids games, womens events, hawk and knife throw, fire starting, canoe races, smooth bore... Fun for all.
